What is the role of the nozzle in a heating system?

This is a major element in a heating system, as it provides the link between the fuel oil tank and the spray chamber. Its role is to transform the fuel oil into small droplets for spraying via the combustion chamber. The spray angle determines the shape of the flame. This will prevent the fuel oil from burning too quickly and avoid smoke generation. It also facilitates the mixing of fuel oil with oxygen in the air.

When should you change your oil nozzle?
